Ordinary Skin Care

When I was first introduced The Ordinary, I was a little bit skeptical. I've battled with adult acne for the better part of 10 years. It is really hard to try something new once you know what works. But recently, this year in particular, I have been really conscious of the products I use and their ingredients.

The Introduction

My friend Gina was raving about this new line she was trying and how much she noticed a change in her skin. It also comes with the added benefit of being SUPER affordable. We were easily shelling out $50 to $100 for serums and treatments. She sent me a text one day and said the serums are only like $10. Of course the skeptic in me immediately thought, no way it's effective. Not at that price. BUT, she knows what she is talking and trusted the ingredients. So, I gave it the old college try.

The Products

I started out with the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum, Salicylic Acid 2% solution, and the AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution. The Niacinamide worked really well during the day to keep my oily skin under control. I would use the Salicylic acid at night only and I honestly was shocked at the results. Lastly, the peel. This one I used once a week and then gradually incorporated to twice a week.

I am just really really impressed by my results. No to mention, Everything all together cost me less than $30 with shipping included. That was the price for just one of the my other treatments. I recently added a few more of their products but haven't tried them long enough to recommend. It's been three months since I started using The Ordinary and I still can't believe how amazing the products are for the price. I still have the occasional breakout here and there but my acne remains under control.
